About Me
About Drew
The year was 1983. I was born on a Thursday morning. Three days later, on Sunday, I was in the nursery at church. As I grew up, I hardly ever missing a Sunday. I’ve done my best to be a good kid. By the grace of God, I’ve never done drugs and I’ve never tasted alcohol. But I’ve still messed up.
I was on a quest in the ministry. I was called to be a pastor. I had a burden for lost souls. I wanted to have compassion as Christ did. I followed the rules, I dotted the “i”s. Following a slippery slope of legalism; I became a slave to the modern church. It was my fault. After a couple of years of ministry, I realized that I needed to be free from the bondage of religion (which I had believed set me free) because there was nothing I could do to earn the love of God. When I began to follow the true voice of God, a course of events spun into motion that literally brought hell to my front door.
That year I saw the ugly in people, and have realized first hand the capacity that we as humans have for evil. I’ve also learned many lessons. I’ve learned to forgive. After that, I had to learn to forgive again. I’m currently learning to pray for those who use Christ as a means to gain wealth and their position to control people via manipulation and practiced smiles. As you can tell, I’m still learning to forgive.
I have a lot of observations about church and our culture. I don’t know all the answers, but I do know that the Bride of Christ should not loose the battle for lost souls. I know that the church must storm the gates of hell; Jesus said they would not prevail. I’m asking the question, “are the majority of the churches in this blessed country storming the gates of hell?” This blog is my thoughts on that. What I think, pray for, and do in response to being the church God has called us to be.
Interesting site. I’ve added it to my favorites. Some of your thoughts echo my own.
In Christ,
Chris

Drew, can you tell me how to access the video you showed at the district council? I believe it shows signs of thanks to
everyone who has helped Gateway in the past to present. Please send it to my home and work.
Your blog is awesome!!

Hey,
I want to start a blog page but I don’t know where the best place is to get a template and what I need to do to get it started. So basically what I’m saying is…HELP!

P.S. I just got my report from last month and saw where you guys donated to us…Thanks!
Hi Drew,
I heard you sing this morning, and your voice is hauntingly beautiful. I just had to tell you that. I wanted to come and give you a hug, but would have felt a little akward going on stage to do so, so I resisted the temptation.
Thank you for your prayers for my grandson, Matthew. I gave him the easter egg, and hope he will come next week. If he does, I would like to introduce you to him. He’s into music and got his own drum set this past Christmas. Now he needs lessons. Do you know of anyone?
My heart has been so heavy this past week. It is very difficult living with a non-christian family, but, ” I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Sadly, I think my best option is to shut up.
Hope you have a great week!!
